Travel Buu Long, (Bien Hoa)Dong Nai city

For those seeking the tranquility and mystery of nature for a nice weekend, Buu Long Park could be a good place to relax.
About five kilometers from the center of Bien Hoa City in the southern industrial province of Dong Nai and about 30 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, Buu Long Park attracts tourists with its harmonious combination of lake and mountains and ancient pagodas, like the oriental philosophy of yin and yang.

Long An lake 1

Visitors then can escape the noise and air pollution in the industrial city and enjoy the fresh air and poetic scenery of Long An Lake (Hidden Dragon Lake) nestled in the park. The 20,000-square-meter lake is an artificial reservoir formed after hundreds of years of stone exploitation by humans.
The water in the lake is blue and shaded with huge trees which hang down on stone “islands” and by the lakeshore, making the air cooler. The lake is often referred to as a “miniature Ha Long Bay”.
In the center of the lake is a suspension bridge from which tourists may contemplate the panorama of the lake. Or they can take a trip around the lake on a motorboat.

Next to Long An lake are two low mountains. Nearly 100 steps must be climbed to reach the peak of Binh Dien Mountain and the ancient Buu Phong Pagoda, looming behind a big bodhi tree. Built in the 17th century the pagoda was renovated and enlarged in 1829 and again more recently. From the top of the mountain, tourists are rewarded with a panoramic view of the city, boats and activities in Dong Nai rivers.
The second mountain is Long An Mountain where Long Son Cave is positioned upward like a vaulted shape with stalactites hanging down mysteriously.

The park authorities can assist anyone interested in climbing the mountains after trekking around the park. Adventurers will be equipped with a helmet, gloves and other safety equipment as well as instruction on how to have a safe and interesting adventure.

However, it is necessary to register in advance so that the operators may prepare security forces, instructor and relevant equipment. At reasonable prices, depending on the number of climbers, tourists can have a unique and amazing experience.
Tran Van Thuong, director of Buu Long tourism site, said that tourists are interested in taking a trip around the lake and climbing the mountain. Those trips are exciting because they offer a chance not only to experience the beauty of nature but also to get some exercise in the pure air and tranquil space.
Buu Long Park is around 80 hectares in size. It was honored as a national cultural tourism site in 1990.

Travel at Lang Sen Wetland Reserve

Ensconced in Dong Thap Province, Lang Sen Wetland Reserve is already a destination for people who love nature and could soon become a hot-spot for couples as well. Tran Trong Trung reports.

Lang Sen Wetland Reserve
Dong Thap, Lang Sen Wetland Reserve, Dong Thap Muoi, delicious food
Teaming with life: Lang Sen is home to thousands of rare birds, hundreds of species of freshwater fish, 156 species of wild plants and many amphibians, reptiles and other plankton.

When dusk fell, the wind glided across each twig and blade of grass. In the sunset, the birds came back to their nests, their chirp echoing melodiously in the mystical landscape. Water rippled, each cajeput leaf rustled, their flowers radiated a fragrance.

Travel Lang Sen Wetland Reserver

All these elements create a peaceful natural scene that draws thousands of tourists to Lang Sen Wetland Reserve.

The reserve is located in Dong Thap Muoi (The Plain of Reeds), a vast swampy region stretching across the three provinces of Long An, Tien Giang and Dong Thap. In the past, this was a harsh land full of sun and wind, covered in wild grass and wild rice, alum soil and mud, mosquitos, leeches, fish, birds, snakes and rats. It was famous as a "sacred forest where the water is toxic".

Travel Vietnam. Today, Dong Thap Muoi has formed many natural preservation areas including Tram Chim National Park, Gao Giong Ecological Tourism Site and Dong Tam Snake Farm as well as Lang Sen Wetland Reserve.

Lang Sen literally means "wetland with many lotus flowers." The reserve includes 50ha of lotus plants as well as 40ha of wild rice. Covering a total area of more than 5,030ha in Vinh Loi and Vinh Dai communes of Tan Hung District, Long An Province, Lang Sen creates a microcosm of the natural landscape of the pristine Plain of Reeds. The area is home to thousands of wetland birds, hundreds of species of freshwater fish, 156 species of wild plants and many amphibians, reptiles and other plankton.

The bird population includes many rare species in need of conservation such as white-winged ducks, brown-backed owls and kingfishers. Lang Sen provides an ideal ecological environment for birds because there are many sources of food and abundant trees that create a quiet and safe space for them.

Boatloads of promise: Lang Sen looks set to become a romantic destination for tourists.

At dawn, when dew drops still dotted the grass, we sat on a motor boat looking at both banks. Many birds were flying in search of food, chirping happily. A herd of hundreds of wild ducks, hearing the motor boat engine, soared up and flew toward the far green cajeput forests.

The food is another highlight of the experience. Visitors can sample a variety of local specialties including grilled snakehead fish wrapped in lotus leaves, rice steamed with lotus seeds, snails steamed with pepper, baked snakes and frogs fried with salt, as well as various kinds of fresh fish cooked with local vegetables. Wash these down with rice wine mixed with pure, aromatic honey.

"After a stressful business day, my family and I and our friends often come to Lang Sen to relax because this area has fresh air and a diverse ecosystem with many species of rare birds and animals - it's known as the "green lungs" of the surrounding cities," said Tran Ba Thuan, a businessman who processes and trades timber in Long Dien B Commune, Cho Moi District, An Giang Province. "We also love the rustic but delicious food".

Huynh Thi Ha, a retired teacher in Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province, organises a family trip every year to see various sights in the province. This year, her family visited the Lang Sen Wetland Reserve.

"The area is very quiet and peaceful, so we felt we were lost in a wonderland!" she said. "Seeing the water fields, filled with aromatic lotus flowers, reminds me of the immortal verse of poet Bao Dinh Giang that many people think is a popular verses: 'The Plain of Reeds' most beautiful thing is lotus, Viet Nam's most beautiful name is Ho Chi Minh.' I hope my family comes back to Lang Sen next year."

Thanks to the efforts of local people who have worked hard to establish the reserve, the area provides a peaceful country escape for city dwellers. As Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh from Can Tho City said: "Living in urban areas, we're used to the noise of engines and constant smoke and dust. Visiting Lang Sen, I felt relaxed. I could breathe fresh air, admire each tree, blade of grass, lotus and lily, watch the birds flying and chirping... It was so wonderful!"

My Chau temple, Co Loa, Ha Noi city, Viet Nam

My chau temple .

Thorough Chuong Duong bridge, follow the 1A National Highway to 10 kilometers that the Duong bridge. Go through bridge is the Yen Vien town, turn left on Highway 3, go 5km to the junction turn right, go 2 km further is the Co Loa ruins.

Despite being the center of the capital not far, but when set foot on land in the old capital I still feel really weird. Open space, fresh air. Co Loa immediate embodiment for the image of a northern village, with river wharf and yard of communal house from member countries, ancient banyan tree by the breath of life with modern, with "miscellaneous" culture seems less invasive to life here.

Co Loa was the capital of the Au Lac feudal, under King An Duong Vuong is about the 3rd century BC and the Van Xuan state under Ngo Quyen 10 century AD. This second capital of Vietnam after Phong Chau (Phu Tho province today), is the capital of the Hung Kings.

According to archaeological documents, this is where ancient forests, the transformation of nature, all into the ground, the only evidence left large tracts of peat, ancient trees ... extended over local from Dai Bi through Cau Ca, Dai Da, Hoi Phu to Lo Khe.

Co Loa relic located on the territory three communes as Co Loa, Duc Tu and Viet Hung, Dong Anh district (Hanoi), the center of Hanoi capital about 17km north.

Unlike other historical monuments, Co Loa is a relic area spread over a large area. Co Loa citadel legend of nine spiral, but based on the traces still exist, the scientists found the three rings, which are within the interior can be made later, under Ngo Quyen dynasty.

Circumference outside cycle is 8 km the city, within the 6.5 km, within the 1.6 km area of the center up to 2 km ². City was built by the method of digging trenches to cut it anywhere, to anywhere up, cumulative build up to it. The outside powers, steep, in mangoes to hit it hard, the type that is easy. Rampart high from the 4 m-5m, there are still 8 m-12 m. Rampart feet wide 20m-30m , rampart surface wide 6m-12m. Volume of earth dug up an estimated 2.2 million m3.

From the inner ring - the center of the Co Loa ruins - i went along the village way to "spin" back out to the perimeter. Over thousands of years with rise and fall of history, with the change of the nature of creation, the old hillock now only the average mound about 2 m high, but according to the specific elders in the village is like going through all three walls round it takes nearly a half-day.

Ngoc well

Co Loa relic of the past in the present, consisting mainly of home, temple, mosque as typical Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong (Thuong temple), the Ngoc well, Princess small temple and the palace reign .

Through the village gate, that inner gate, is to Co Loa communal house. According to legend, it is the old foundation, where all officials in the court meet and talk the old days then in here horizontal board "Ngu Trieu Di Quy"

Inside the "Ngu Trieu Di Quy" there are many archaeological relics dating back thousands of years, especially the bronze arrows from the An Duong Vuong.

Bronze arrows from the An Duong Vuong

Next communal house that Princess small temple - princess My Chau shrine, lies nestled under the old ancient banian tree. Temple am little short life as princess of pity for "the heart to make the top." In temple have human rock no head, who also told that the My Chau statue.

Princess My Chau statue is a natural stone appearance headless human. Legend has it that after My Chau change to the big rock to drift on the Duong Cam beach, in the east of Loa, people in citadel bring a hammock carry to root of banian tree that hammock break, rock falls, went up am worship on the spot.

My Chau - Trong Thuy legend

Through My Chau temple to Thuong Temple that An Duong Vuong Temple, legend building on harem base ago. This temple was revived in the early 20th century, with two stone dragons at the steps of the temple are relics or Tran dynasty or Le. In the An Duong Vuong temple in the new cast on the same occasion as the building temple. Before the temple is Ngoc well, legend is where Trong Thuy suicide because of remorse. This well water that washed pearls, the pearl brings light multiplies!

The population of the Co Loa historic, Thuong Temple (Temple Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong) is the most notable visit. The temple was built in 1687 King Le Thanh Tong Hi, standing on a hill past the king's palace.

Before the temple gate with two stone winding dragons, hand beard, exquisitely carved, representing the Le sculpture.

Through the three door temple gate, entered the temple the trees is an open ventilate space, fresh made everyone feel cheery soul, peace of mind.

Step inside the temple is a wide space to turn the altar of the promotion of literature and martial arts, from the head court, the Kim Quy genie and Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong.

Rock embankment in the citadel foot, the ceramic sprayed of citadel edge, the winding ditch, mounds complex, tortuous terrain that Co Loa today not only has become a cultural legacy, a testament to the creativity, technical proficiency as well as the ancient Vietnamese culture in the struggle against foreign aggression and retention country, but a an ideal destination for tourists from everywhere to explore cultural values, the familiar image of a peaceful village in the North of Vietnam.

Every year on the 6th lunar month, residents of Co Loa held a solemn festival to commemorate those who have the build up citadel, especially grateful to An Duong Vuong, who gave birth to the Au Lac feudal .
